“My Body – My Identity – My Life“ is the motto of the 40th annual Berlin Pride. The parade starts at 12:00 where Kurfürstendamm meets Joachimsthaler Straße, continuing to Nollendorfplatz, Lützowplatz and the Victory Column, finishing at the Brandenburg Gate (see route on p. 47). But things aren’t going to quiet down after that; in fact they’ll just get wilder as night falls. As early as 16:00, you can head to Soho House for the Goys N’ Birls CSD Pool Party with DJs like Honey Dijon will be playing. At 20:00 at Begine will be the lesbian Pride party Tanzfieber. At 21:00, Suicide Circus opens its doors for the Glory Pride Special by G day with DJs such as 2Faro. Also starting at this time is the official lesbian CSD party, Liquid, at Spindler & Klatt with DJs Marsmaedchen, Sara Moshiri et al. At Polygon, the “XXL Edition“ of B:east begins at 22:00, as does the official main CSD party: Unity at Funkhaus Berlin, featuring Dapayk & Padberg and Aérea Negrot live as well as DJs Monika Kruse, Marc Miroir and more. At 23:00, Nina Queer kicks off CSD Shaamlos! with a jerk-off competition and DJ Divinity, while CSD im SchwuZ will round up Jurassica Parka, PomoZ, Ena Lind and other DJs into the queer club. Berghain starts fashionably late at 23:59 with CSD Klubnacht, boasting a live performance by Hard Ton and DJs such as Boris, Ben Klock, Discodromo and more. And that’s not all – there are more Pride parties happening, at the cavernous sex club KitKatClub (23:00), concert hall SO36 (22:00), gay club UnterTage (22:00) and the usually student- and bro-centric Humboldthain Club (22:00), etc.
