Originating in San Francisco in 1983, the International AIDS Candlenight Memorial is now observed in numerous cities. Berlin has several events spanning eight days, including tonight’s kick-off dinner at Café Ulrichs. The Berliner AIDS Hilfe’s funeral procession takes place on May 20.

Ulrichs is part of the Berliner Aids-Hilfe and a popular place to meet for HIV-positives and their friends. Here you'll find inexpensive cake offerings and easily meet new people. There are also small concerts and information events happening regularly.
