*King Cobra*, the debut novel by Muri Darida published in 2026 and winner of the Robert Walser Prize, is a novel about the body, origins, and family violence. The body is treated not merely as an imagined or socially ascribed identity but in a highly physical sense: pain, sexuality, violence, shame, and desire render it something immediately tangible.
