Berlin – "Love Needs Community": This empowering theme sets the tone for this year’s service at Berlin’s St. Marienkirche on the eve of the CSD (Christopher Street Day) parade. Bishop Christian Stäblein, General Superintendent Julia Helmke, and Berlin’s Governing Mayor Kai Wegner are among those expected to attend. This long-standing spiritual prelude to Berlin Pride is organized by the Berlin City Center Protestant Church District.

Christian, Jewish, and Muslim believers will observe the occasion together with representatives from the political sphere and civil society. Once again, international guests, as well as members of the Catholic and Anglican churches, will join in celebrating this special service.
