Which living arrangement suits me best in my later years? What will I truly need? What do I desire? And what can I afford? Particularly within Berlin’s strained housing market, choosing a suitable living arrangement for one’s senior years presents a significant challenge. For people living with HIV, for queer individuals, and for seniors who have experienced racism, additional factors often play a role in this decision-making process. Together, we will explore projects that envision alternative forms of housing—initiatives designed to enable individuals to lead self-determined lives well into old age and right up to the end of their lives.
